Caregiver Qualifications

Eldercare Services’ Caregivers are of the highest caliber in the industry. Eldercare recruits, trains and develops Caregivers, making them part of the team. This process results in high Caregiver retention and excellent client service.

 

Recruiting Criteria

  • Extensive Interview Process
  • Background Clearance
  • DMV Review
  • TB Testing
  • Reference Checks
  • Skills Evaluation
  • Minimum 1 Year Experience

 

Training and Education

  • In-Depth Orientation
  • Eldercare University: 40-hour training
  • Paid Training: 6 classes per year
  • Additional Classes Available
  • Comprehensive Safety Program
  • Sample Classes:

    • Personal care
    • Dementia communication
    • Medication challenges
    • Fire safety
    • Sexuality and aging
    • Hospice and end-of-life care

 

Staffing

  • Commitment to matching the client’s needs with a Caregiver under Care Manager direction
  • Staffing team members available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

 

Care Management Support

  • Care Manager direction and support 24 hours a day in accordance with care plan
  • Client-specific skills training
